Moments with his grandson

These are just a few of my most rememberable momments with granddad.

You Tube - A couple of weeks before his passing I finally introduced him to YouTube and he loved it! I was able to pull up YouTube on his cable box and stream some playlists of Motown's biggest hits. Grand dad loved it! Dylan and granddad singing in dance in his room was too funny. I wish I had gotten a few pics and vids of it but I'm sure you can imagine.

Gambling - It's no secret that granddad enjoyed playing his lottery, betting on the horse races or betting his friends I could jump kick albums out of their hands when I was kid taking karate classes. Im happy to have been abel to take him to the horse races the last couple of years. We'd get up early on a Saturday, I'd feed, and medicate him, pack his food and meds for the rest of the day and head up to Philly and sometimes delaware and let him have it.

Hip Hop - Granddad's favorite hip hop video of all time.... early 90s hit Rump Shaker by Wrex n Effect. After seening that video on The Box a few times all he could talk about was "Zoom zoom zoom in the poom poom poom".

Life Expectancy - Over the last 5 yrs seems like every coupld of months he would tell me "With the life I've lived, all the things I've done...I never thought I'd live this long"

The Power Glove - When the Movie The Wizard came out in 1989 it feature the Nintendo Power Glove and I just had to have one. Although my mom and grandma was against him getting it becasued of the price, grand dad got it anyway. Just weeks ago he me again how my grandma laid him out for spending so much money on it.

Cooking - Grand dad did not cook often but I remeber him making stuffed shells from scratch several times when I was kid and it was pretty good.

His wife - Grand dad told me several times after her passing how he wishes he was a better husband to my grandmother. That he didn't always do the right things but loved her dearly.

#Granddadisims - My Facebook friends would be upset if I didn't quote a few "granddadisims". Granddadisim is what I called some of the wild and crazy catch phrases he would say to me over the years. Keep in mind these are from an old man with very color language.
