Momments with his grand daughter

When I was a baby and he watch me while mother was in the army and Ma mere went to work. One day Ma mere came home and saw all my clothes off and she thought he did something to me. He said to her " Jean how could you think like that I had to take all her clothes off because she had $%^# all up her back and front and I had to clean her up".

They would always tell me the story when I was about two or three years old and Grandma Ruthie was watching me and gave me a piece of chicken and I started choking on the bone and Granddad flip me upside down and hit my back in the bone came out.

He would play the horses and the lottery all the time. One day around Easter he hit big and he took me to the store and he told me I could have anything I wanted in the store. We came home with a dress and it was $100. Mother and Ma mere was so furious with him because he bought me this $100 dress, they told him to take it back because it was too much.

He told them "No" I told her she could have the dress and she is going to keep it. I have no idea what the dress looks like or if I have a picture of it in one of the photo album books.

I remember taking him to work with Ma mere. They used to wake me up early Saturday morning because he had to go to work with Marco. They used to put me in the back sit of the car in my pajamas with my cover and pillow so I could continue to sleep. We would drive to Hunt Valley to drop him off and then me and Ma mere would stop at McDonald's to get some breakfast.

Another story I have this was shortly about a year or two after mother her passed around my mother. Dad and Retta was giving me a surprise birthday party at Chuck e Cheese and I brought some of my friends from the neighborhood. We stopped pass on Lauren's street and of course Granddad hit the number and there was a truck full of toys in Dad's car for me.

He used to love watching Taylor when she was little. She used to attack Ma Mere all the time. He called her his Tiger. They would always walk to the store together and he would take her to the train tracks. When we were living there he was the only one that could get her to sleep. He would take her in his arms and take her downstairs and they would sit down and listen to music together and he would rock her to sleep. Even a a couple of years before his last operation when I starting working for Diez and Watson. He would watch Taylor for me on Friday's when she got out of school earlier on Friday's. I would drop her off he would cook lunch for her and make her tea. He would watch her play at the playground.

I have so many memories of him. He was the one man in my life I could count on. He loved me and my girls unconditionally and would give me his last. Every time I took him to the store he would ask do I need anything or was I okay. Do I need to fill up my gas tank? He used to always want to come to the house and eat crab legs with me and Larry even though he had no teeth. Yeah we would fuss all the time but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I am very sad because he never got to walk me down the aisle and for us to do our dance together to song "Granpa telling about the Good Ole days" by the Judds this was a promise we made to each other.
